Magnificent Monet Mesmerizes Paris

Fall is in the offing, but flowers continue to bloom in Paris. Spring over to the Grand Palais and see the famous waterlilies in the Claude Monet 1840-1926 exhibition, which opens September 22, 2010 and runs until January 24, 2011. Organized by the Réunion des Musées Nationaux and the Musée d'Orsay, this is the first major Monet retrospective in 30 years. 200 Impressionist paintings from around the world will be on display. Savor his landscapes of Normandy and Paris, his lush figures by the Seine, and his remarkable still lifes. Delve deeper by hopping on a train and visiting Monet's home and gardens in Giverny, which is 80 kilometers from Paris.

Whole Living
is giving away $5,000, which ought to cover a Monet experience to remember. Paint the town red and enter.
