Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Paris Fashion Week Photos

Fine art photos of Paris feed my French addiction. The current exhibit, "La mode de Paris et l'art comme l'un - Paris Fashion & Art as One," at artLAB in Santa Monica, features the best shots from July's Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris taken by ten U.S. photography students. Scattered around a trendy hair salon are saturated images of pretty people looking, well, pretty. Granted, the only hint they were shot in Paris is the intro to the exhibition, but you can extend the theme by watching the Paris episode of The Rachel Zoe Project: Season 2, Prêt-à-Porter or Valentino: The Last Emperor.

Still can't get enough? American Airlines is giving away 1 million AAdvantage miles in their Celebrate Chicago Sweepstakes. That's enough miles to fly over to Paris for several seasons of Fashion Week! Dress for success and enter.

Rap Sheet: The D.C. Housewives in Paris

Rap music isn't the first thing you associate with The Real Housewives of Washington, D.C., but this week's episode featured Stacie Turner and her husband Jason checking out Jason's brother, The Beat Assailant (aka Adam Turner), who had the Elysee Montmartre in Paris jumping. Besides the hip-hop concert, the "Foreign Relations" episode showcased tempting shots of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. While the practical Turners checked into an understated hotel, the infamous White House party crashers, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, swanned around the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome. This time they opened a bottle of Dom Perignon sans sabre to celebrate the occasion, and no one was assaulted by a cork. Though Tareq was presented at his own Real Housewives of Washington, D.C., premiere party with court papers by PR firm Brotman-Winter-Fried Communications, to whom the Salahi's allegedly owe upwards of $15,000, Michaele is weighed down with shopping bags as she strolls through Place de l'Étoile with Stacie. Zoot alors! While this episode won't satisfy a craving for Paris, it could pass as an amuse bouche.

Prefer a more covert affair? USA Network's new series, Covert Affairs, is giving away a 22-day trip across six continents, including a 3-night stay in Paris, in their Spy the World Sweepstakes. Hip hop on over and enter.

Paris: In The Thicke of Things

Robin Thicke muses, "In Paris, I can just walk all day long, from the Arc de Triomphe to the Louvre and over the bridge to the Left Bank." Chase is giving away an ultimate reward getaway for two to Paris, inspired by Robin, plus a signed, original treatment of his music video, "Lost Without U." Along with two tickets to paradise, I mean, Paris, the prize includes three nights at the Renaissance Paris Vendome and $200 for dinner at Le Train Bleu. (If the restaurant looks familiar, you may have seen it in Luc Besson's film, La Femme Nikita. Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Cocteau, and Salvador Dali used to be regulars.) Now that's an ultimate reward! Chase this down and enter.

Eat, Love, Win

Paris is one of my favorite places in the world, but Venice is a close second. Avanti savoia.com reminds me of all the Italian goodies j'adore by challenging my foodie IQ with their weekly trivia contests. Recently, I was thrilled to receive an email from them, announcing I had won a $25 gift certificate for their site! Pecorino "Foja de Noce" (sheep's milk cheese packed in walnut leaves) beckons. What would you choose?

If you haven't read the book, Eat, Pray, Love, see the film, and revel in the scenery. You'll want to hop on the next plane. Fortunately, Cinemark's "Let Yourself Go" Sweepstakes will let you do just that. Choose a trip for two to either Italy, India, or Bali. Or, opt for a check for $5,000, which ought to help you find yourself in Paris. Time is running out. Let yourself go, and enter.
