The Front Row Girls At Viktor & Rolf, and Jean Paul Gaultier

Fashion shows bring people out of obscurity. Former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, decked out in a black and white romper, turned up in the front row next to DJ Leigh Lezark (and one-time Gossip Girl dayplayer) at the Viktor & Rolf show at Espace Ephemere Tuileries today. Checking out the competition was designer Margherita Missoni, whose carrying on the family business. But, the real drama was on the runway, where massive, white sculptured 3D dresses took center stage. You thought Krystle Carrington's shoulder pads were big in the 80s? Wait until you see these!

Catherine Deneuve and another belle de jour, Dita von Teese, set the tone at Jean Paul Gaultier's astonishing Ready to Wear show. While many designers have been crucified for sending anorexics down the runway, Gaultier opted for more to love when goth cherub, Beth Ditto, saluted the audience in black shorts that fell way above her knees.

Getting Yven - Yves St. Laurent Retrospective In Paris

From serving in the military for 20 days to a stint in a French mental hospital, followed by numerous fashion shows on Paris runways, designer Yves St. Laurent's life was as dramatic as his clothes. In the 60s, St. Laurent made his mark by creating a classic tuxedo for women, Le Smoking suit. While his Piet Mondrian shifts remain memorable to this day, St. Laurent's extravagant, $100,000 jeweled casual jackets caused a backlash when they debuted days after the stock market crashed in 1987. Loulou de la Falaise, Catherine Deneuve, and a Getty, Talitha, who overdosed on drugs in 1971, were counted among his muses. St. Laurent fought his own demons with alcohol and cocaine, ultimately succumbing to brain cancer in 2008. Now, Le Petit Palais is featuring a retrospective of St. Laurent's creations through August 29th. Spanning 40 years, this dazzling exhibit showcases 307 of his haute couture and ready-to-wear garments, along with photographs, drawings and films. Dress up and see it.

Swiss Premium Tea
is giving away $5,000 for a no-worries vacation. That ought to cover a trip to Paris to see this retrospective with, well, no worries. Stop fretting and enter.

La Société - See And Be Scene

Fashion and style go hand-in-hand. Mix in food, and you have La Société, a trendy restaurant tucked inside a 19th-century building across from the historic Saint Germain church. Lobster and herb salad sounds divine, while Le Club Saint Germain sandwich gives a shout out to the once artsy neighborhood. Naturally, fresh and organic is the foundation for most dishes, but this celeb haven is more about the scene than the food. Catherine Deneuve, Stefano Gabbana (the other half of Dolce), French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy (He's married to singer/actress Arielle Dombasle), and François Pinault (Salma Hayek's baby daddy) have all dined here. Want to get stylish and go? Inspire Your Style is running a sweepstakes for a chance to win $10,000. Why the Official Rules claim the prize is $2,500 is a mystery, but whatever the number is, it ought to be enough to fly to Paris. Steal the scene and enter.
