Replay Reopens in Paris

While Americans have been gobbling down turkey, blue jean babies hit up the cocktail party celebrating the reopening of Replay in Paris. Macy Gray, Tara Reid, and local luminaries checked out the refashioned, early 19th century ceramics shop at 36 Rue Etienne Marcel, which features Italian denim and caz wear. Roomy halls, ornate crown moldings, frescoed ceilings, a gigantic video screen, and lots of mirrors replay the Art Deco era with a twist.

It doesn't matter if your style revolves around jeans or little black dresses. Brighten up the season by winning $10,000 in the Inspire Your Style Sweepstakes. That's enough to shop practically anywhere you want in Paris. Confess your favorite mall and enter.

Adam Lambert Kisses Some Guy In Paris

Where do American Idols go after the show is over? To Paris, bien sûr! Adam Lambert, the second place, season 8, flamboyant singer with a fabulous voice, recently took his Glam Tour to the City of Light, where he played a sold out show at Le Trabendo on November 18th. Leave it to Lambert to change the lyrics of the Jimi Hendrix classic, Purple Haze, to, "Excuse me while I kiss some guy."

And what did Lambert do his first day ever in Paris? "Visited Notre Dame, the Louvre, and ended the evening at the Crazy Horse!" he tweeted.

Want to spend your first day ever in Paris? Or your 100th? It's real simple. No matter how many times you've been to Paris, one thing you always need to bring is cash. And guess whose giving away $15,000? It's Real Simple, really! Simply enter.

Lunch In Paris

When you can't hop on a plane to Paris, reading can be the next best thing. Lunch in Paris, a Love Story, with Recipes by Elizabeth Bard, is a delightful escape sprinkled with entertaining observations. For example, be careful how you use the word plaisir, unless you intend to imply something sexual. Twilight (No, not the blockbuster film!), when shops turn on their lights and steam starts to fog café windows, implies a hint of danger. The French call it entre chien et loup, between the dog and the wolf. Being romantic, I prefer to think of it as le cinq à sept, that difficult-to-account-for time after work when lovers tryst.

Ready for a taste of Paris beyond your imagination? Bard offers mouth-watering recipes at the end of every chapter. (For devotees, check out the newer ones on her website!) "Student" Charlotte, oven-roasted pork ribs with honey, individual molten chocolate cakes, and whole fish baked in sea salt, seem manageable. Other yummy entries, such as scallops with champagne custard, and salmon with fennel compote in a puff pastry crust sound more elaborate. In any case, you'll be tempted to sample some of these French dishes.

Is a trip to Paris on your Christmas list? Better Homes and Gardens is giving away $8,000 in their All I Want for Christmas Sweepstakes, which ought to cover a dazzling getaway. You're going to want to enter.

Running Around in Paris

Jogging is far from a national past time in Paris. To work off goodies from your favorite pâtisserie, head for a park. When a President Obama lookalike chose the Jardin des Tuileries, he made headlines when the police stopped him to check his identity papers! Parc de la Villette, the largest park in Paris, has a lovely path about 3 kilometers long that winds past the garden of mirrors, the garden of trellises, the garden of islands, the garden of shadows, and more. A former royal hunting ground packed with 32 kilometers of footpaths, Bois de Vincennes, features several lakes, along with a château and a zoo. Or, try Promenade Plantée, a former railway line refashioned as a 4.5 kilometer pedestrian walkway. Prefer to be by the water? So does Renee Zellwegger who opted to run along the Seine, which winds past Notre Dame, the Grand Palais, and the Eiffel Tower.

Where would you like to be seen running? Saucony Performance is giving away a $5,000 Visa TravelMoney Card and a head to toe Vizi-Pro outfit, so you can run anywhere you want. Jog on over and enter.

Voguing Through Paris With Anne Hathaway

Looking like a cross between Audrey Hepburn and a modern royal, Anne Hathaway sparkles as Vogue magazine's November cover girl. Hathaway amps up the glamorous American in Paris vibe as Mario Testino shoots frame after gorgeous frame of her in the City of Light. Watch the splendid behind-the-scenes video here.

One of the stunning locations for the photo shoot is the legendary Art Nouveau bistro, Maxim's, which has been frequented by Jean Cocteau, Marcel Proust, Greta Garbo, Marlène Dietrich, Onassis, La Callas, the Windsors, and the Woolworth heiress, Barbara Hutton, who was married to Cary Grant. Back in the 70s, Brigitte Bardot made scandalous headlines when she entered the restaurant with bare feet, but it would take a lot more than that in this millennium! John Travolta put on his dancing shoes and kept the rhythm with Sylvie Vartan, while Jeanne Moreau, Barbra Streisand, and Pierre Cardin, who eventually bought the place, also ate here. If you want to lavishly revel in a remembrance of things past, this is the place to do it.

Prefer to try something new? Campbell's is giving away $25,000 in their Try Something New Sweepstakes. That's plenty to cover a trip to Paris and dinner at Maxim's. Everything old is new again, especially if you haven't been there. Get souped up and enter.
