Voguing Through Paris With Anne Hathaway

Looking like a cross between Audrey Hepburn and a modern royal, Anne Hathaway sparkles as Vogue magazine's November cover girl. Hathaway amps up the glamorous American in Paris vibe as Mario Testino shoots frame after gorgeous frame of her in the City of Light. Watch the splendid behind-the-scenes video here.

One of the stunning locations for the photo shoot is the legendary Art Nouveau bistro, Maxim's, which has been frequented by Jean Cocteau, Marcel Proust, Greta Garbo, Marlène Dietrich, Onassis, La Callas, the Windsors, and the Woolworth heiress, Barbara Hutton, who was married to Cary Grant. Back in the 70s, Brigitte Bardot made scandalous headlines when she entered the restaurant with bare feet, but it would take a lot more than that in this millennium! John Travolta put on his dancing shoes and kept the rhythm with Sylvie Vartan, while Jeanne Moreau, Barbra Streisand, and Pierre Cardin, who eventually bought the place, also ate here. If you want to lavishly revel in a remembrance of things past, this is the place to do it.

Prefer to try something new? Campbell's is giving away $25,000 in their Try Something New Sweepstakes. That's plenty to cover a trip to Paris and dinner at Maxim's. Everything old is new again, especially if you haven't been there. Get souped up and enter.

Place de la Concorde

Trip back in time and stay at the oldest, most luxurious hotel on Place de la Concorde, the historic Hôtel de Crillon. Though it's packed with 17th and 18th century tapestries, sparkling chandeliers, gilt-and-brocade furniture, fine sculpture, and Louis XVI chests and chairs, the anachronistic state-of-the-art amenities will remind you it's 2010. No wonder Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, poor little rich girl Barbara Hutton, Charlie Chaplin, international playboy Porfirio Rubirosa, and Orson Welles slept here. So have Elizabeth Taylor and Arnie (Schwarzenegger). Marie-Antoinette may have let them eat cake, but history tells us this is where she took music lessons. Mariah Carey, Axl Rose, and Madonna no longer need to study, but they've all spent the night. There's even a Leonard Bernstein suite, named for the great 20th century conductor and composer, which features three bedrooms, two living rooms, a sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and high tech equipment. Stand on the large terrace and take in a majestic view of Paris, from the Eiffel Tower to the Musée d’Orsay. Want to see for yourself? You're in luck. Tablet Hotels is giving away round trip airfare for 2 to Paris and 5 nights at Hôtel de Crillon. Fill in the tabula rasa and enter.
