Running Around in Paris

Jogging is far from a national past time in Paris. To work off goodies from your favorite pâtisserie, head for a park. When a President Obama lookalike chose the Jardin des Tuileries, he made headlines when the police stopped him to check his identity papers! Parc de la Villette, the largest park in Paris, has a lovely path about 3 kilometers long that winds past the garden of mirrors, the garden of trellises, the garden of islands, the garden of shadows, and more. A former royal hunting ground packed with 32 kilometers of footpaths, Bois de Vincennes, features several lakes, along with a château and a zoo. Or, try Promenade Plantée, a former railway line refashioned as a 4.5 kilometer pedestrian walkway. Prefer to be by the water? So does Renee Zellwegger who opted to run along the Seine, which winds past Notre Dame, the Grand Palais, and the Eiffel Tower.

Where would you like to be seen running? Saucony Performance is giving away a $5,000 Visa TravelMoney Card and a head to toe Vizi-Pro outfit, so you can run anywhere you want. Jog on over and enter.
